rebeca "beca" winkler damico

Beca Damico is sixteen-years-old and a junior in high school who lives in Utah, but was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She fluently speaks Portuguese and English and is learning French. Beca loves big cities, Disney movies, the beach, travel, and has recently been exploring Utah’s beautiful desert and mountains. Her life’s goal is to live in New York City or Los Angeles and become a journalist. She loves writing, reading, doing puzzles, and has been figure skating for seven years. She will be writing about movies, television, music, travel, and food for Deja Vu.
eleanor "nell" pearl corley
Nell Corley is a seventeen-year-old junior from Seattle, Washington. She has been writing for school publications since middle school and currently writes for her school's paper, "The Weekly Hoot", and an online magazine called "The Mezzazine". She enjoys art, reading, playing piano, and writing, of course. She plans to attend university for journalism and take her career to New York City. Her ambitions include traveling the world, publishing a poetry book, and running for congress. She will handle Deja Vu's arts, theater, and politics columns.

camila "cami" nicole fowler

Cami Fowler is a seventeen-year-old high school student from Denver, Colorado. On a daily basis, she can be found either playing soccer, volunteering for Make-A-Wish, spending time with friends, writing, or running around with a camera. Cami loves exploring, whether it's walking through the streets of New York City or exploring the great outdoors. She aspires to study journalism and law, only to end up in the big apple chasing her dreams. Cami approaches life with a smile and positive attitude because why wouldn’t she? She holds the nickname “smiley” for a reason. She will be writing articles such as current events, editorials, reviews and profiles.

Christopher J. D. Putlock is an eighteen-year-old award-winning filmmaker and writer. In the fall he will be moving to Los Angeles to attend Loyola Marymount University to major in TV and Film Production as well as Marketing, never to return to the forsaken midwest save for Christmas celebrations. His works featured here will fall somewhere between the extremes of poetry and short stories, which are influenced by such literary giants as G.K. Chesterton, C.S. Lewis, and J.R.R. Tolkien.

Annabelle Kiely is a seventeen-year-old photographer from Colorado. Her favorite style of photography is portraits and strives tries to capture what makes people human. She is trying to build her portfolio for AP photography this year as well as work on building her mini photography business!

Mandira Gowda is a sixteen-year-old photographer from Colorado. Besides snapping pictures, she enjoys poetry, painting, writing, playing music, and she plays tennis. One of Mandira's favorite pastimes include participating in school clubs.

Lizzie Sharp is a seventeen-year-old senior from Hershey, Pennsylvania. She has written for her high school magazine, “The Falcon Flash,” for a few years and is currently writing for her local newspaper, “The Hummelstown Sun.” She plans to attend university in the fall to study journalism and history. In her day-to-day life, you can find her reading, planning her next trip, or hiking with her friends. Lizzie loves meeting new people and taking on new experiences.

Charlotte Swenson is a seventeen-year-old senior from Denver, Colorado. She is the editor of her school paper, “The Quill,” and founder/president of the book club. Charlotte is planning on studying political science and history in college, and her dream job is being a writer for a satirical news show. She enjoys fighting for social justice, educating others, and being kind to all people. In her free time, Charlotte enjoys playing soccer, listening to music, reading Russian literature, going on late night walks, and pondering the meaning of human existence.

Charles Thompson is a photographer and writer from Charlotte, North Carolina who attends Woodberry Forest School in Orange, Virginia. He primarily focuses on sports photography, photojournalism, and short fiction writing. In his off time, Charles can be found editing photos in the Walker Fine Arts Center or eating a cheeseburger platter in the Fir Tree. He also attended the School of The New York Times with the three Deja Vu founders.

Ella Syverson is an 18 year old student, writer, activist, and organizer from Wisconsin. She is passionate about creative writing and social and environmental justice, and enjoys spending time outside, reading, and with her friends. She is co-founder and interim Outreach Coordinator for 350 Chequamegon Bay, and she also writes for Lipstick and Rage and Mezzazine.
